Background

Travis D. Hughes is the Founder and Broker in Charge of Hughes Investment Partners.  A commercial real estate attorney by education and trade, Mr. Hughes is also Counsel for a large private equity firm that owns and manages Class A and B commercial properties.  In that role, he primarily drafts and negotiates office leases and engineers purchase and sale transactions.

Mr. Hughes graduated from Harvard College, where he captained the Men’s Track & Field team, and from Washington University School of Law, where he completed courses in Property, Commercial Real Estate, Real Estate Transactions and Land Use.  His legal career began in 2007, at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, LLP, and progressed with stints at Armstrong Teasdale, LLP and Pursley Friese Torgrimson, LLP.  From 2014 through 2017, he was a Vice President in the Atlanta office of full-service commercial real estate brokerage firm, Transwestern.

Travis serves on the boards of The Carter Center and Nana Grants Inc., and is active with the Harvard Club of Georgia.  He is an alumnus of Urban Land Institute (ULI) Atlanta’s Center For Leadership Class of 2020.  He was an American Bar Association Real Property Fellow for calendar years 2017-2019.  Mr. Hughes formerly sat on the board of Central Atlanta Progress and was President of the Houston chapter of the Harvard Black Alumni Society.  He resides in Metro Atlanta with his wife and their four children.
